Train Underpass : Landscape

I’ve imagined so many times the pictures I would take of this place. I pass by here multiple times a week in a frenzy to get home for the evening. I usually shoot through this underpass going too fast for comfort, and my mind is always captured by the interesting architectural landscape that someone once cared enough about this part of town to create such a detailed structure. Above here runs the train tracks, if I’m lucky I’ll sometimes begin in my car blocks up with the train next to me and it’s here I pass under the train from the east to the west side of the tracks where I follow next to it racing to the next passing point miles up, where If my luck strikes twice, I’ll pass over the tracks from west back to the east moments before the crossing lights begin to light up and ring their bells. I feel like an urban dolphin trailing the ship of a train, it’s something that makes me smirk after a long day filled with things that seem so important but are then thought of as trivial when I’m able to laugh at the metaphorical drive home.
